Year: Senior
Major: Public Health Science
Biography: Along with being a coordinator, I am doing research for Dr. Daniels in HIV/AIDS, along with being involved in EMRAP, a research program at UCI Medical Center. I am also President of Public Health Brigades and enjoy getting to go to other countries through the club to help work with communities. Besides academics, I really enjoy being outdoors, going to the beach, hikes, and traveling.
What Diversity Means to Me: Diversity means accepting and appreciating anyone and everyone, no matter the culture, race, physical/mental stature, sexual orientation, in order to have an environment where everyone is treated equally and with the utmost respect. No matter who you are, what you have done in life, you are never greater than the person next. Diversity is also something that you must continue to learn with an open mind through each person you meet. This is something I try to live by and this is a goal of what DIM is trying to do.
