Major: Biological Sciences
Biography: Besides spending my time with my fellow coordinators in planning this course, I am part of various other activities both on and off campus, such as, the Global Health Research, Education, and Translation (GHREAT) program, Model United Nations at UCI, and the International Model United Nations Association. If you cannot find me at any of these places, you can definitely spot me adventuring off with my friends to find the next best boba restaurant or at the gym playing volleyball.
What Diversity Means to Me: Having been born and raised in India and given the opportunity to live in different parts of the United States, diversity and its importance has been a huge part of how I like to view the world. As an aspiring healthcare professional, I am glad that I am part of Diversities in Medicine. This course and program truly encapsulates the idea of diversity in healthcare and I truly applaud the courses’ ability to delve into nuanced discussion about disparities that exist in healthcare today.
